Thing #7 - OIG's

Thing #6 - Mashups

Here is my attempt at using one of the sites to do a Warholizer to my family's picture. I found this on The Big Huge Labs website at http://bighugelabs.com/flickr/. This was a lot of fun but can be time consuming when you get "involved" in a project! Sooo much out there to use....I've led a sheltered life!!!
Thing #5 - Flickr Chomp-chomp!!
Well, this was a learning experience. Though I had previously worked with Flickr, I was not at all familiar with it...mostly fumbling my way through. At the present, I have a better understanding of what I can do with it but will have to continue to "play" to gain a feeling of comfort and to be more efficient. Bet you can guess what I like to Flickr!!

Thing #4 - RSS Feeds and Readers
Oookaaaay. Well, this is getting a little more "in depth." I have gone through a majority of the articles and videos ("RSS in Plain English" was very informative.) Needless to say, I will be spending more time reading/watching the additional information in Thing 4; I am far from through with this one.

Thing #3 - Searching Blogs
I have just finished "Blog Search Tools" and I have to say that this goes far beyond what I even imagined. Doing an actual search on a topic through 3 different blog search engines brought up soooo many different blogs that were very interesting!

Gettin' the hang!
Well, well, well...I just might be gettin' familiar with this blasted blogging thing after all. Do they realize they're creating a monster! Hi to all my SRRL pals. Read ya later!

Thing #2
Well, today I finished Thing 2...how appropriately named! I think this sentence pretty much sums up the view that I have of L2.0:
"Many have argued that the notion of Library 2.0 is more than just a term used to describe concepts that revolve around the use of technology; it is also a term that can be used to describe both physical and mindset changes that are occurring within libraries to make our spaces and services more user-centric and inviting."
I look forward to learning more of this concept as well as Web 2.0.
C ya!

Thing #1 - Getting Started!
Well, here it is...this part was (almost) fairly simple; now if I can just understand what I've created and learn to work with it efficiently! More later...; )
